This was the first time staying at this hotel. It exceeded our expectations for these reasons. The location is in the center of Boston. The Public Garden is across the street. The subway lines are easily accessible but most of all the staff (everyone we encountered) went out of their way to accommodate your needs or requests. The hotel rooftop restaurant, Contessa, is first class, pricey but worth the treat! The bar area is the perfect spot with great views of Boston and just a happening spot. The food was very good. The lounge bar on the first floor has great Public Garden views if you sit at the window (great for people watching) and the food and service is outstanding. The rooms were a good size and beds very comfortable. They provided water in cans each day and there is a nespresso coffee machine in each room. We were on the 5th floor in the front of the hotel with a Public Garden view but higher rooms have a better view over the trees. We will definately stay at the Newbury for future Boston trips.

We stayed here while visiting colleges with my 17-year-old and 9-year-old. I chose it to balance college shopping with some fun for my little one. The location is perfect across from the public garden and walkable to so many fun parts of Boston. Although the marathon was on our first day, it never felt crowded, and the concierge got us great reservations. Breakfast in the Street Bar was a treat and the service was exceptional (thanks Conch!). Every staff member we spoke with told us their Boston college experiences and we discovered that the concierge went to Tufts for piano. They doted on my kids and absolutely made our trip. Take a moment to notice the art - it was mostly curated from local artists.

Wow, the staff at this hotel are just amazing. From the concierge, reception, cleaning as well as the bar staff in the bar downstairs, the service is impeccable and nothing is too much. We stayed for Boston Marathon and you couldn't have had a better location!! Even better, the hotel put on an amazing runners breakfast including bagels, porridge and gu gels! Then after the marathon they put on a finishers party which included lots of great food and drinks. The bar downstairs is great, but the restaurant at the top is bad. The staff are rude and the food is poor, but this restaurant is not run by the same owners as the hotel.

From the moment we stepped in the hotel, service was excellent! We stayed there for the Boston Marathon weekend and it was the perfect location!!! Our room overlooked the Boston Public Garden and we could watch the BAA 5k from our window. Easy to catch Ubers and walking distance to many great sights! Rooms were nice and beds super comfy. It was quiet too. The hotel did some nice extras for the Boston runners on race day that were much appreciated!

The location, cleanliness and comfort were amazing. Concierge service is attentive and helpful. The restaurant has a wonderful view, the food is delicious and the breakfast room is very pleasant. I would definitely recommend it. The luggage carriers were very helpful and friendly. It was great to be next to the park, it was so fun to see the squirrels
